I quit cTiVo and went to a recent downloaded file with bold text and check. Regardless, you should be able to set Plex Compatible in the General Preferences to have it use a more Plex-friendly directory structure and filename syntax. Previously, do you remember: did you use the FilenameTemplate option in Advanced Preferences to use the Plex support there? Or did you just use cTiVo's Create Sub-folders for Series option?Īnd now, which option is selected in General Preferences under "Save Shows"? If it says "Custom", then go to Advanced Preferences and see what Filename Template is there. That mechanism changed significantly in 3.1.0, specifically to make Plex support better, so there may be an issue. If you set TiVoManager debug level to Verbose (in Advanced Preferences) and then restart cTiVo, the log should list the shows found on disk (search for the text 'showsOnDisk` in the log file.)įinally, on the folders. If not, the filesystem is somehow losing the metadata. So, another test: note one of the shows recently marked as downloaded, then quit cTiVo, restart it and see if it is still marked as downloaded. Nothing came up at all? We use that tag in the filesystem's metadata across cTiVo runs to find shows we've downloaded before. I've also very surprised there was no result on a search for cTiVoDownload (unless the Drobo doesn't support metadata). So, to be very specific, shows downloaded prior to 3.1.0 appear boldface/OnDisk in the NowPlaying table, but when you select and then option-click one of those shows, the contextual menu has both Show in Finder and Play Video greyed out? That's very strange I use the exact same routine for the onDisk column and enabling those menu items. On the other hand, the contextual menu does seem to work properly (at least on my machine) on both the Download and the NowPlaying tables. This looks like it has always been true, so I'll fix in next release. In experimenting, I've confirmed one bug, which is that the File menu's PlayVideo/ShowInFinder commands interact only with the Download table, not looking at the NowPlaying table at all, even if the NowPlaying table is currently selected. Thanks for reporting and working with me on this! I know a lot of the ppl in the Plex Community use cTiVo. Myself I have moved away from iTunes because of the limited playback options and use Plex for my streaming server. The newer shows that downloaded last night seem were placed in the correct down folder and were stripped of commercials and play fine they did not go into the show folders as cTiVo did with the last release they were all grouped in the main download folder not in the TV show folders. Note: I do use an external Drobo drive as my download folder with the name “TV Shows DVR”. Play video is grayed out on contextual menu. Yes the recorded shows have check marks and in bold face text. Going to the menu bar under File and selecting Show in Finder it goes to the last download, not the show selected. Having the show selected and right click for the contextual menu “Show in Finder” is grayed out. I did notice only the files downloaded with the new release were acceptable via “Show in Finder” Any files downloaded with the old version did not have “Show in Finder” available.
